Colin's OCA Level 3 Photography

My First Blog Post

I am Colin Caygill, a photography student with the Open College of the Arts.

I am just about to start my OCA Level 3 Photography Degree. This is the most important part of the course because it will be measured to give me my final mark.

I have finished level 1 which consisted of the following modules:

  • The Art of Photography
  • Digital Photographic Practice
  • People and Place

I have finished level 2 which consisted of:

  • Digital Image and Culture
  • Landscape

Level 3 is split into three sections:

  • Contextual Studies
  • Body of Work
  • Sustaining Your Practice

Contextual Studies and Body of Work are to be completed together with Contextual Studies feeding into Body of Work, the finished product of my own self generated ideas. I will have one tutor for each of these modules and work them simultaneously.

Sustaining Your Practice is the delivery arm for Body of Work and will be completed after the other two modules, with a separate tutor for this piece of work.

Please feel free to follow my progress. Any constructive comments will be most gratefully received.
